HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 2038MGINA1; ti ORDINANCE NO. <,2 4 9 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM GENERAL CLASSIFICATION DISTRICT (G-6000) TO RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT (R-3) ,ITH SPECIAL PERT+IIT FOR A NURSING HOME. WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as General Classification District (G-6000), and WHEREAS under the aforesaid Ordinance a proper petition for change of zone classification of said property has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about April 17, 1963, which Petition was thereupon referred to the Planning Commission for investigation and study and thereafter a public hearing having been held before said Planning Commission on or about May 22, 1963, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as pro- vided by law; and said Planning Commission having duly considered and recommended said rezoning and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Residential District (R-3), together with a Permit to operate a nursing home and facilities incidental thereto; the City Engineer and the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinance, as amended, to evidence said rezoning; said �roperty being described as follows: Situated in King County, yaashington: That portion of the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Sec. 18, Twp. 23 N, R 5 E, W.M. , described as follows: Beginning at the SE corner of Lot 15, Block 30, Earlington Acre Tracts, according to plat recorded in Vol. 15 of Plats, page 84, records of King County; thence N,Vly along the Sly line of said Lot 15, being also the Nly margin line of Good- win Street (Renton Ave.) a distance of 250 ft.; thence at right angles S 10045100" til 348.5 ft.; thence SEly at right angles 500 ft., more or less to the Wly margin line of 91st RIGII*%'tiL Ave. S*. (County Rd.); thence Nly along said W margin line of gist Ave. South 288.5 ft. to the Sly margin line of said Goodwin St.; thence continuing on said course N 1O04S100" E 60 ft. across said Goodwin St.; thence NvVly at right angles along the Nly margin line of said Goodwin St. 250 ft. more or less to the point of beginning at SE corner of said Lot 15, Block 30, of Earlington Acre Tracts. And said rezoning to be further subject to the laws and ordinances of the C:Lty of Renton. SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 10th day of June, 1963.
