AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
ADOPTING AND ESTABLISHING BY REFERENCE CERTAIN
WASHINGTON TRAFFIC STATUTES
WHEREAS, not less than three printed copies in book form of the "WASHINGTON
TRAFFIC STATUTES" as issued by The Association of Washington Cities, in cooperation
with the Bureau of Governmental Research and Services, have heretofore been filed in
the office.of the City Clerk of the City of Renton for use and examination by the
public, and it is deemed advisable to adopt said Code of Washington Traffic Statutes
by reference as provided by law, together with any amendments, additions or modifica-
tions when printed and filed with the City Clerk from time to time, and
WHEREAS -it is advisable to adopt said Traffic Statutes by reference in con-
junction with the City's adoption of its Model Traffic Ordinance, NMI THEREFORE
FOLLOWS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, AS
SECTION I: The said"Code of Washington Traffic Statutes" as issued by the
Association of Washington Cities in cooperation with the Bureau of Governmental
Research and Services, which code is dated September 1962, and identified as informa-
tion Bulletin No, 244, of which not less than three printed copies in book form have
heretofore been filed in the.Office of the City Clerk and made available for
examination by the public, is hereby adopted as the "Code of Washington Traffic
Statutes" for the City of Renton; any and all amendments, additions or modifications
thereto when printed and filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton by
authorization of the City Council from time to time shall be considered and accepted
and constitute a part of such Code without the necessity of further adoption of such
amendments, additions or modifications by the legislative authority of the City of
Renton, or by Ordinance.
SECTION II: By the reference thereto made hereinabove, said "Code of
Washington Traffic Statutes" as hereinabove described, together with any and all
amendments, modifications or additions thereto and hereafter printed and filed with
the City Clerk as hereinabove specified, are incorporated herein and made a part of
this Ordinance as fu°ily and with the same effect as if set out herein in full, or as
adopted by subsequent Ordinance amendatory hereof.

SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
the 1st day of July, 1963, and after its passage, approval and legal publication as
provided by law.
