All ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, ?,TASHINGTON, AMENDING
SECTION 8-715 OF TITLE VIII OF ORDINANCE N0. 1628
ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE I4A.YOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Existing Section 8-715 of TITLE VIII entitled "HEALTH AND
SANITATION", of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF RENTON", is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 8-715: AS AMENDED
SEWAGE CHARGES -- SPECIAL RATES: The monthly rates and
charges for sewage disposal service shall be as follows°
Single.family dwelling units
Multiple dwelling units up to and
including 5-plexes, (five dwelling
units located on one parcel of property,
under the same ownership)
Other multiple dwelling units in excess
of five and all business and commercial
properties
$1.25 per month.
$1.25 per unit, per month.
50% of metered water charge
Service for users not connected to the City water system shall be charged
at a rate fixed by the City Superintendent of Utilities, subject to
approval by the City Council.
Where the use of water is such that a portion of all the water used does
not flow into a City sewer but is lost by evaporation, irrigation, sprinkling
or any other cause, or is used in manufacturing or manufactured products and
the person in control provides proof of this fact and installs a meter or other
measuring device approved by the Superintendent of Utilities to measure the
amount of water so used or lost, no charge shall be made for sewage because of
water so used or lost. (Ord. 1727; 2-10-59)
In addition to the foregoing charges specified in this Section, the following
rates shall be charged:
(A) A charge of two dollars (';)2.00) per month payable to "Metro' for each
single family dwelling unit.
(B) A charge of two dollars 0;'2.00) per month payable to "Metro" for each
nine hundred cubic feet (900 cu. ft.) of water used by apartments, multiple
dwelling units of every type and number,buisinast c-ommercial., industrial and all
other users.

SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
af=ter its passage, approval and legal publication.
