AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DECLARING THAT
AN EMERGENCY EXISTS AND APPROPRIATING MONEY FOR TETE PURPOSE OF"
PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF NECESSARY EXPENDITURES NECESSITATED
BY SUCH EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS since the adoption of the 1963 annual budget of the City of Rentor.,
it has become necessary to provide for.' -the expenditure of certain funds including the
acquisition of certain property for off-street parking and other municipal purposes,
which said property was not previously available for such acquisition, all of which
expenditures were not foreseeable at the time of the adoption of the 1963 budget; and
WHEREAS it is necessary for the proper administration, operation and mainten-
ance of the City and its Departments to appropriate funds for and out of the City fun-'
as hereinafter set forth for the purpose of such acquisition of property; NOW THEREFC^.?
FOLLOWS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS
Section 1: The foregoing recitals and facts are hereby found and determirirl
to be true and correct and by reason thereof the Council does hereby declare that ar..
emergency exists.
Section 2: That there be and is hereby allowed and established the following
sum for expenditure in the following classification and said sum is appropriated for
expenditure in said sum, and same being in addition to the provision and allocations
of said 1963 annual budget, to -wit:
Department and Fund
Off-street parking fund, 7039.1
Capital Outlay -1711
Purpose
Amount
Acquisition of off-street parking $ 20,000
and for other municipal purposes
Section 34. This Ordinance is an emergency Ordinance which shall not be voted
upon until one week shall have elapsed after its introdu6tion and a copy thereof sh,'"
be published as a proposed ordinance with a notice of the time set for voting therec^.
Section 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication.
