HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 2079ORDNANCE'' 1110.26) -' AN ORDITEANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON., WASHIMTONs AWI MIG CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF RENTON. r WHEREAS under the provisions of R»C,W. 35 13.ZOs as amendsd by Chapter 2822 Seseion Laws of 1961, a petition in wrill req sstiI4 that certa:Li territory - contiguous to the City of Renton., as hereinafter more particularly described, be annexed to the City of Renton,ms duly presented and filed with the City Clerk on or about December 31st, 1963; and WHEREAS prior to the filing and circulation of said petition for annexationz; the petitioning owner had duly notified the City Council of his intention to commerce such proceedings as provided by law and upon hearing it having been determined an-_' the petitioning owner having so agreed to assume the pre-existing bonded indebted- ness of the City of Renton as same pertains to the territory petitioned to be annexed, and WHEREAS the City Engineer has duly examined and verified the signatures thereon and determined the assessed valuation of all the properties., the same beim; in excess of 75% of the area so petitioning in value as provided by law, which pet^tion also sets forth the legal description of the property according to govern- mental legal subdivision or plat, and the Planning Commission of the City of Renton having duly considered and recommended the annexing of said property to the City; and WHEREAS a. Board of Review was duly called but its proceedings dispensed with as provided by law, and WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Renton fixed February 3, 1964, at the City Council. Chambers in the City Hall as the time and place for public -ear ir.. upon said petition, notice thereof having been given as provided by law; and lZiEREAS pursuant to such notice, a public hearing has been held by the Cit, - Council at the time and place specified in the aforesaid notice, and the Council having duly considered all matters in connection with said petition and further determined that all' legal requirements and procedures of the law had been compy-,.,ea with, HOW THMEFORE FOLLOWS: BE IT ORDAINED BY TIE iXAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, AS SECTION I: It is hereby determined that the above-mentioned petition for annexation to the City of:Renton 'of the property and territory hereinbelow described be and the same is hereby approved and granted;' the folloiring'de6cril. bed property r being contiguous to the City Limits of the City of Renton, State of Washington, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Renton and such annexation to be effective on and after the approval, passage and publication of this Ordinance, and an and after said date said territory shall constitute a part of the City of Rento,i and shall be subject to all its laws and ordinances then and thereafter in force; said property being described as follows: Lots 5 and 8, Block 2, together with Lots 1 and 2. Block 3, C. D. Hillmans Lake Tlfashin�ton Garden of Eden No. 7 as recorded in Volume 16 of Plats, Page 18, records of Bing County, Nashington; together with that portion of 110th Avenue Southeast (Lake View Avenue), as platted according to the above plat, lying between the south line of Southeast 80th and the easterly extension of the south line of Lot 2, Block 3 of said sub -division; together with a portion of Southeast 83rd Street adjoining; also together with a portion of 109th Avenue Southeast lying casterl y of the southerly extension of the westerly line of said Lot -8, SECTION II: The above-described annexed property contiguous to Precinct I�Io, G of the City of Renton shall be and constitute a part of Precinct Noy _ ,3 .__ of said City. SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage; approval and publication as provided by law. A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the Board of County Commissioners of hing County., State of Washington, and as otherwise provided by law.
