HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 2082FJ ORDINANCE NO. ¢2,12 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DECLARING THAT AN FMERGENT CY EXISTS,&APPROPRIATING MONEY FOR THE PURPOSE Or PROVIDING FOR THE SATISFACTION OF A CERTAIN JUDGMENT 0k THE SUPERIOR COURT, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON, CAUSE NO. 585794 WHEREAS since the adoption of the 1964 annual budget of the City of Renton, it has become necessary to provide for the expenditure of certain monies, to satisfy a certain judgment renderdd against the City of Renton, pursuant to order of the Superior Court, King County, which judgment is dated January 31, 1964, and WHEREAS it is necessary for the proper administration, operation and maintenance of the City to appropriate funds for and out of the City Fund as hereinafter set forth for the purpose of satisfying said judgment as provided by law, all pursuant to R.C.W. 35.33.120 NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF. RENTON, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The foregoing recitals and facts are hereby found to be true and correct and by reason thereof the Council does hereby declare that an emergency exists. Section 2: That there be and is hereby allowed and established the following sum for expenditure in the following classifaction and said sum is appropriated for expenditure in said fund and for the purpose of satisfying a certain judgment in the Superior Court, King County Cause No. 585794, and said appropriation is in addition to provision and allocation of the 1964 budget, to -wit: Department and Fund Purpose Amount Street Construction No. 3200, Acct. 605 Satisfaction of Judgment 12,39-2.39 Section 3: This Ordinance is an emergency ordinance which shall not be voted upon until one week shall have elapsed after its introduction and a copy thereof shall be published as a proposed ordinance with a notice of the time set for voting thereon. Section 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. INTODUCED FOR FIRST READING March 9, 1964.
