AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHIMITON,
A104DING SECTION 8-303 (C) of TITLE VIII,(HEALTH
AND SANITATION), of ORDINANCE NO. 1628 entitled
1CODE OF GENERAL ORDIIITANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON"
RELATING TO GARBAGE COLLECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Existing Section 8-303 (C) of TITLE VIII (HEALTH AND SANITATION),
of ORDINANCE NO. 1628 entitled "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF REBiTON",
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 8-303 (C) As Amended Any person as herein defined
accumulating garbage, refuse or swill in the downtown or suburban business
areas whose location requires the placing of cans or units, as herein defined,
on sidewalks or alleys for collection shall not place same thereon until the
close of each business day and digU. emove said cans from the sidewalk .,or ,.alley
immediately after the opening for business each morning. Furthermore, any
person whose residence is so located as to require the placing of cans or
units on portion of any public right-of-way My do,'4o-, but not so- a'si.to
interfere with any pedestrian or vehicular traffic and shall remove said
cans therefrom as speedily as possible after pick-up, but in no event later
than the same day of collection. These requirements shall be rigidly
enforced so that the placing of all cans and/or garbage units within
sidewalks, alleys, or other portions of public right-of-ways be limited
to the shortest possible period of time, and it shall be the duty of each
person to remove same, or cause same to be removed, as herein set forth.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication.
