ORDINANCE W. 2115
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON FIXING THE AMOUNT
OF TAX LEVIES NECESSARY TO RAISE THE AMOUNT OF THE ESTIMATED
EXPENDITURES FOR THE YEAR 1965, LESS THE ESTIMATED REVENUES FROM
SOURCES OTHER THAN TAXATION, FOR THE GENERAL FUND AND FOR THE
PAYMENT OF PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST UPON THE GENERAL BONDED INDEBT-
EDNESS OF THE CITY OF RENTON FOR THE YEAR 1965; TO LEVY THE ANNUAL
TAXES OF THE CITY OF RENTON FOR THE YEAR 1965 AND APPROPRIATING
SAME TO CERTAIN FUNDS FOR CERTAIN PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The total amount of estimated expenditures required f or the
!City of Renton for the year 1965 is the sum of $ 4,491, 343
The total
estimated revenues from sources other than taxation, including available surplus is the
sum of $ 3,257,699 therefore the amount necessary to be raised by taxation is
the sum of $ 1,233,644 and said amount of tax levy is hereby levied upon real
and personal property subject to taxation in the City of Renton, for the purpose of
raising the necessary revenues for said City for the year 1965, to -wit: (Total assessed
Valuation $76,024,223.00)

SECTION II: That said taxes herein provided for are levied for the purpose
of raising revenue sufficient to pay the principal and interest upon the general bonded
indebtedness of the City of Renton, the General Fund, and for carrying on of the different
departments of the municipal government of the City of Renton for the fiscal year
beginning January 1, 1965 and ending December 31, 1965; and are hereby levied upon all
the real and personal property within the City subject to taxation as shown by the
assessment in the County of King as finally fixed by law.
SECTION III: That the taxes collected from the levies hereby fixed and
m--!kde, together with the estimated revenues from sources other than taxation which con-
stitute the appropriations ofthe City of Renton for the fiscal year 1965, are hereby
appropriated as itemized and classified in the Annual Budget for the fiscal year 1965

SECTION IF: A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be transmitted
to the King County Commissioners and such other governmental agencies as provided: by
law.
SECTION V: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
