AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON , 14ASHINGTON , CHANGING
-'THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CE TAIN P OPERTIES WITHIN THE
CITY OF RENTON FROM "SUBURBAN RESIDENCE DISTRICT" (S-1) TO
"BUSINESS DISTRICT" (B-1)
WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Business Regulations) of Ordinance
No. 1628 known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Menton", as amended,
and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the properties hereinbelow described
have heretofore been zoned as Suburban Residence District.(S -1); and
VHEREAS a proper petition for change of zone classification of said properties
has been filed with the City on or about October 8 , 1964, which petition was then
referred to the Planning Commission for investigation, study and public hearing,
and a public hearing having been held thereon on or about October 28, 1964; all
pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law; and said
matter having been duly considered by the Planning Commission, and all parties having
been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ZENTON,
AS FOLLOUS:
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the CITY OF
RENTON is hereby rezoned to Business District (B-1) and the City Engineer and
the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the
Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to evidence said rezoning:
That portion of (S. 550.92' meas. along E. margin 2ainier Blvd. of
folg. desc. Tr. Por. of Gov. Lots 11 & 14 ly. E of Rainier Blvd. and
Mate Highway No. 2 and N of In. ext'd E from S.E. cor. lot 28, Blk. 10,
Earl. & ly. S. of Co. Rd. No. 80, Tgw. por. of Tr. 3 Zenton Shorelands
adj.) now of this desc. land only that por. beg. at the N.E. cor. and
going 35' ti towards Rainier Blvd., which is now known as Maple St.,
from this point going S and parallel to Edwards t7ay to a point 100'
S, from this point go S.3. 100' to a point just 10' til of Edwards
Way, thence E to Edwards Tt. from this point N along Edwards Way 200'
more or less, to point of beginning.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
