WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Board of County Commissioners
of King County, Washington for annexation of territory hereinafter
described, to the City of Renton; and
WHMtAS, by Resolution #9391 of the Board of County Commissioners of
King County, Washington, passed on October 23, 1944, an election was
directed to be held in said territory for presenting the proposition
of annexation to the City of Renton to the residents within said
area; and
WHEREAS, said election having duly been held on Tuesday, December
52 1944, at which a majority of the votes cast were for annexation,
and the Board of Uounty Commissioners of King County, Washington
having by Resolution lf9537 certified and found such to be the fact,
and having submitted to the Uity of Renton a certified copy of such
Resolution yf9537,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Renton as follows:
SECTION 1: That the City Council does deem it wise and expedient
to take and (annex)
annex such contiguous territory to the City of Renton.
SECTION 2: That the City Attorney be and he hereby is instructed
to prepare an Ordinance providing for the annexation to the City of
Renton of the following described contiguous territory, to -wit:
An area of land lying on the East side of the City of
Renton, Washington, abutting and adjacent them to, being
located in King County, State of Washington, as portions
of Sections 8, 9, 16 and 17, Twp., 23, Range 5 East W. M.,
described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the South boundary line
of See. 17, Twp. 23 North, Range 5 lost, W. M., with the
East boundary line of the City Limits of the City of
Renton, King County, Washington; thence East along the
South line of said Section 17 to the East line of the
West one-half Mg) of the East one-half (E -21y) of Sec. 17;

thence North along said East line to its intersection
with the East boundary of the Old Issaquah Road, now
called 112th Place Southeast and Southeast 128th Street;
the road along the South side of Windsor hills Addition;
thence along the East boundary of 112th Place Southeast
and the South boundary of Southeast 128th Street to the
intersection with the North line of Sec. 17, Twp. 23
North, Range 5 East W. M• thence East along the North
line of said Sec. 17 to its intersection with the South
line of Southeast 128th street; thence Easterly along
said South line of Southeast 128th street to its inter-
section with the East boundary of 116th Avenue Southeast
produced southerly (County road No. 174); thence North
along the said produced line and the East boundary of
116th Avenue Southeast to the intersection with the South
line, if produced to the East of the Southeast quarter
(SE -J) of the Northeast quarter (NE -41-) of the Southeast
quarter (SEJ)f Sec. 8,
Twp. 23 worth, Range 5 East, W. M.; thence West along
said South line to the East line of the Sathwest quarter
(SW -41) of the Northeast quarter (NEj) of the Southeast
quarter (SES of Sec. 8;.,thence North along the said
East line to the North line of the Southwest quarter
(SWj) of the Northeast quarter (NE -4) of the Southeast
quarter (SE4) of said sec. 8; thence West along said
North line to the East city limits of the City of
Renton; thence 6outh along the East city limits of the
City of Renton ti the place of beginning,
and providing that such contiguous territory shall thereupon become
a part of the City of Renton, and subject to all its laws and ordinances
then and thereafter in force.
