WHEREAS pursuant to the statutes of the State of Washington
a petition signed by more than two hundred electors and freeholders
of the City of Renton has been filed requesting that the City of
Renton be advanced from a city of the (Thirs Class to a city of the
second class
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the question of advancing
the City of Renton from a city of the third class to a city of the
second class be submitted to the electors of the City of Renton
at a 4ecial election)called for that purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a certified copy of this
Resolution be forwarded to, and that the Election Board of King
County be requested to call said special election at the earliest
date possible under the laws of the State of Washington.
