Now, therefore, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Renton, Washington in regular session do hereby protest the leasing of the Boeing Buildings located at Renton, Washington to the U. We, the City Councilmen, unanimously feel that the buildings above referred to should be available for the use of manufacturers and Commercial Concerns who may desire to operate here, and we further feel that the Reconstruction Finance Corporation should consider the importance of assisting the manufacturers of the Northwest in securing adequate space to enlarge their volume of output and increase their payrolls to help provide jobs for the large number of returning Veterans. Therefore, be it resolved that a copy of this Resolution be mailed to the Reconstruction Finance Corporation for their consideration. Approved this 6th day of August, 1946.
