A RESOLUTION 6RGING CONGRESS TO ENACT LEGISLATION REQUIRING THE
FEDERAL 'ORKS AGENCY TO TRANSFER WITHOUT CHARGE, FEDERALLY OWNED
HOSPITALS CONSTRUCTED WITH FUNDS PROVIDED BY THE LANHAM ACT, TO
STATES, ',D OR POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS THEREOF.
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Renton, Washington, in regular
meeting assembled after full deliberation and complete investigation
extending over a period of months, have arrived at the final conclusion
that the operation of the Valley Hospital of Renton, Washington, by
the City of Renton, or a State sponsored Hospital District, will best
serve the interests of the people of Renton and adjacent communities, and
WHEREAS such hospitals have been constructed at various locations in
different States under similar conditions and, with funds provided by
the Lanham ,Act, that could probably be operated as we desire to operate
the Valley Hospital.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Renton,
Washington, requests the Congress of the United States of America, to
give favorable consideration to Senate Bill #S-4270 introduced by
Senator Warren G. Magnuson, United States Senator from the State of
Washington
