ORDINANCE NO. 3920 I
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
AMENDING SECTION 6-1201 OF TITLE VI (POLICE
REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE NO. 1628 ENTITLED
"CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
RENTON" RELATING TO PROHIBITING DRINKING OF
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON PUBLIC STREETS, ALLEYS '
AND PROPERTY I
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Existing Section 6-1201 of Title VI (Police Regulations)
of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City
of Renton" is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 6-1201, as amended: UNLAWFUL ACT: It shall be unlawful
for any person to drink any alcoholic beverages on any public street,
alley, sidewalk, parking lot, playground or in or about any other public
property or place within the City except as a patron of the Maplewood
Golf Course when such beverages for consumption are purchased from the
operator thereof. This Section shall not be construed to prohibit the
purchase or consumption of alcoholic beverages at a premise licensed
by the Liquor Control Board of the State of Washington.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage,
approval and five days after publication.
