Amends Ordinance No. 3719
CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
ORDINANCE NO. 3921
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING A PORTION OF SECTION 4-1918 OF TITLE IV
(BUILDING REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE NO. 1628
ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF RENTON" RELATING TO OFF—PREMISE ADVERTISING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I : Existing subsection (F) 1 of Section 4-1918
of Title IV (Building Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled
"Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended
to read as follows:
Section 4-1918 (F) 1. , as amended: Signs may be illuminated
and shall be for location identification only and shall display
no copy, symbol or device other than that in keeping with the
principal occupant. Ex�eption: off-premise advertising may
be allowed as an accessory use of an identification sign or other
structure if the following conditions are met:
(1) The maximum size of the off-premise advertising
is 6 square feet.
(2) No more than 25% of the principal structure is
covered by the off-premise advertising sign.
(3) The off-premise advertising sign is designed
to be viewed by users of the facility rather
than street traffic .
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and thirty days after publication.
