HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 0767RESOLUTION NO. 767 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON: 1. That whereas the Lessees under that certain written Lease dated November 30, 1946 wherein the City of Renton leased for a ten year term commencing November 1, 1946 a tract on the Renton Municipal Airport, to O'Brien Flying Service, towit: Beginning at the NW comer of Lot 1, Block 5, Plat of Renton Real Estate Co's First Addition to Renton; thence North 5 degrees plus West 1425 feet; thence North 84 plus degrees East 115 feet to point of be- ginning and SW corner of a 56 feet square tract leas6d therein; in King County, Washington; are in default to extent of more than $640.00 in rental obli- gations thereon, and they are willing to accept termination of said lease with forfeiture t -o the City of improvements placed thereon, consisting principally of one timber Hangar structure, upon being granted an 18 months lease of a substitute tract on aforesaid Airport without additional rental for same during said 18 months term, ofthe than payment of insurance premiums for City's benefit, said Hangar to be moved thereon and included in such 18 months lease; and whereas it is deemed advantageous to the City to obtain such termination of existing lease and forfeiture to and title in,the City of the improvements, in - eluding said Hangar; THEREFORE such termination and forfeiture of lease and improvements is hereby made and accepted, and the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to executed appropriate Cancellation agreement to that effect, effective March 30, 1950 2. That the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to execute for the City a Lease for 18 months, acknowledgkng rentals prepaid other than insurance premiums, to O'Brien Flying Service.Inc., a corp- oration, the holder or successor Lessee above mentions covering a tract 56 feet square on said airport and including above Hangar to be moved thereon, the term to commence April 1, 1950. 3. That there is hereby authorized to be paid out of the Air- port Fund, as capital outlay, the sum of $499.00 to contractor J. N. Shaughnessy, d/b/a Concrete Construction Co., for repairs to roof and moving of aforesaid Hangar structure. 4. That the foregoing shall be and constitute full performance of all obligations of the City in respect to the foregoing. PASSER BY THE CITY COUNCIL THIS 28th day of March, 1950. Wil Crook, City Clerk.
