A Resolution and Ordinance of the City of Renton allowing
compromise settlement of Claim for Damages to property of E. F.
Allan and wife, and appropriating funds for payment thereof.
BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RENT ON AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: There having been duly filed and presented to
the City Council a verified claim of E. F. Allan and his wife
for damages for alleged injury to their propert at Route 4
Box -1-31, Rentont described as that portion of S of N -j of it of
SEJ of Section 31, Township 23 N, Range 5 EWM in King County
Washington, alleged to be result of bursting of water main of
the City of Renton resulting in flooding said property, washing
away soil and inundating same and causing of expenses for drain-
age and repairs and restoration; and said claim having been re-
ferred to proper committee or department and report back recom-
mending allowance thereof having been made, the said claim is
hereby allowed in the sum of $26.59•
Section 2: The sum of $26.59 is hereby appropriated andst
ordered paid to said claimant from the Water Departmentq satis-
faction and release of all claims and damages for injuries known
and unknown and property loss embraced within the foregoing mat-
ters and claim, being compromise settlement of disputed liability
for the same.2• and the City Treasurer is authoriz ed to pay said
sum to the C.ia imant w
