WHEREAS, a Petition has been filed for submission to the electorate
of a proposal to create a Public Utility District in King County to engage
in the business of generating and distributing electrical energy, and the
King County Commissioners will fix a date for a Hearing thereunder, to
determine the boundaries of such proposed District; and
WHEREAS, said. Petition as filed proposes to include the City of Renton
within such District; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton is contemplating the establishment of a
Municipal Power System; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON:
1. That after due consideration it is deemed to be for the best inter-
ests of the City of Renton and its residents, that the City of Renton be
excluded from the area of such proposed Public Utility District.
2. That accordingly the Commissioners of King County be, and are hereby,
reQuested to exclude the City of Renton from the area dna boundaries of such
proposed Public Utility District.
3. That a certified copy hereof be transmitted to the King County
Commissioners prior to date of said Hearing.
