A R�SOLU'TION Pr�'R`I'AINING TO THE 4AINTENANCE OF THE
STATE HIG filAYS INSIDE THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF REN`I'ON ND PAYM�;NT THEREFOR;
That the City of Renton on the basis of certain
facts presented by the City Engineer finds that the
maintenance of the State Highway routes through the
City of Renton is inadequate and below standard;
That the City of Renton, having adequate manpower
and equipment, does petition the State Department of
Highways for the privilege of full maintenance of the
State Highway routes through the city and teat the
City of Renton be paid therein by the State Depart-
ment of Highways at the rate of $500.00 per mile per
year for full maintenance on the following designated
routes:
PSH No. 2 (Alternate)......,.. 3.8 Miles
PSH No, 5 (Rainier Ave.)...... 0.9 Miles
PSH No. 5 (Maple Way)......... 0.4 Miles
SSH No.l-L(Grady Way),.,.,,,., 0.5 miles
SSH No.2-A(Park Street)....... 0.9 Miles
SSH No.S-C(Benson Road)...,.,, 0.5 Miles
Total.......... 7.0 Miles
That the cost of full maintenance of the above
designated highways through the City of Renton is
estimated to be a total of $3500.00 per year.
PASSED by the City Council of Renton this 16th day
of January, 1951.
