HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 0811r s J RESOLUTION NO. 811 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIE CITY OF REST ON: WHEREAS, the State Liquor Board has inquired whether the City of Renton has adopted any policy with (re}sped to approval of licenses to premises in the vicinity of parks and playfields, NOW THEREFORE, the City Council (aadopts)the following policy) olicy in respect thereto: (a) With respect to licensing of taverns, cocktail bars and similar establishments for sale of beer, wine or liquor by the glass or open bottle for consumption on the premises: Those restrictions imposed by State law egainst proximity to churches and schools shall as City Policy be deemed also applicable against proxi- mity to parks, playfields, and playgrounds. (b) With respect to licensing for sale of beer or wine in packaged form for consumption off the premises, such as sales in packaged form by retail stores: No restrictions shall be imposed, as City Policy, against proximity to parks, playfields, play- grounds, and recreational areas. A copy of this Resolution establishing said Policy shall be forwarded to the State Liquor Control Board.
