RESOLUTION NO. 827
WHEREAS the Mayor and City Council of the City of Renton, in regular
session on the 27th day of November, 1951, and
WHEREAS there was brought before it for its consideration, the plight
and distress of the people of the Republic of Italy who have been recently struck
by disastrous (floods)
rendering more than 300,000 persons homeless throughout
the Republic of Italy and causing excessive damage in the sum of over
$10090009000, NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Renton that an (appeal)issue
through all the existing media to the people of the City of Renton urging that
they (come to the assistance of)the suffering and stricken(people of Italy�by
extending a -helping hand to them in their hour of distress by way of contribut-
ing food, clothing or cash donations.
