HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 0853' ' RESOLUTION NO. 853• WHEREAS, the hereafter named employee of the City of Renton is a member of the Washington Statewide City Employees Retirement System, in the classification of "miscellaneous personnel", and the City Council of the City of Renton having heretofore by Resolution No. 809 under date of April 17th , 1951, extended the compulsory retirement age of the undersigned employee from 65 years of age to the age of 67 years, and said person being physically fit to continue her employ- ment and service with the City of Renton as Librarian until such time as an adequate replacement has become available to take over and perform the functions of Librarian, and such time period in no event to extend beyond June 1, 1954• NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON That the employment of the following named employee of the City of Renton, to wit MISS WINIFRED DANIELS be and the same is hereby extended until such time as an adequate replacement has become available to perform.the duties of Librarian, but such employment in no event to extend beyond June 1, 1954• It is further resolved that the aforementioned employee shall thus, after June 1, 1953 no longer be subject to the required payments and/or contributions due and payable to the Washington Statewide City Employees Retirement System inasmuch as the aforementioned employee will have reached her 67th birthday by June 1, 1953, thus having attained the maximum retirement age as fixed by the aforementioned Retirement System. A copy of this resolution, adopted pursuant to Chapter 71, Laws of 1947, shall be transmitted by the Clerk of the City of Renton to the Board of Trustees to the aforesaid Washington Statewide City Employees Retirement System.
