RESOLUTION NO. 878
A RESOLUTION of the City of Renton, Washington,
appointing Marie Stout, present Deputy City
Clerk of the City, as City Clerk only for the
purpose of signing $327,000.00 of general ob-
ligation bonds of the City to be issued under
date of January 1, 1955•
WHEREAS, by Ordinances numbered 1494 and 1500, duly passed,
approved and published as required by law and by vote of the elee-
tors of the City, the City has authorized the issuance and sale
of $327,000.00 of its general obligation bonds for certain capital
purposes, and
WHEREAS, Section 3 of said Ordinance No. 1500 provides that
said bonds shall be attested by the City Clerk and that the interest
coupons attached thereto shall be signed with the facsimile signa-
turesof the Mayor and City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wiley Crook, the present City Clerk, is ill and
cannot carry out the functions of a City Clerk and is not able to
sign and attest said bonds when the same are issued, and
WHEREAS, Marie Stout is the duly and regularly appointed
Deputy City Clerk and as such is now fulfilling the duties of the
City Clerk;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Renton, Washington, as follows:
That Marie Stout, present Deputy City Clerk, is hereby appointed
City Clerk for the purpose of signing the $327,000.00 of general
obligation bonds of the City, sold on December 14, 1954, and to be
issued under date of January 1, 1955. The facsimile signature of
Marie Stout appearing on each of the coupons attached to each of
said bonds is hereby authorized and accepted as the signature of
the City Clerk of the City of Renton, Washington.

approv ed by its Mayor at a regular Council meeting held on.the
,jjday of December, 1954.
