HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 0906RESOLUTION NO. 906 WHEREAS, THE CITY OF RENTON, at its regular meeting on August 7, 1956, introduced and passed Ordinance No. 1557 designating a restrictive area adjacent to its water reservoir, commonly known I as the Springbrook Watershed Area for the purpose of protecting its water supply from pollution, which ordinance is hereby incorporated and made a part of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein, and WHEREAS certain properties adjoining said reservoir area are I owned by CHARLES R. PERRYMAN and ELIZABETH J. PERRYMAN, his wife, and WHEREAS said owners do not have adequate or available access to said properties from the existing road, and WHEREAS said owners have offered unto the City to deed a portion of their property lying next to and adjoining the City's water reservoir area in exchange for an equivalent area of land, 24 feet in width, extending from the Wilson Road, also known as S. E. a30th Street,in a northerly direction to said Perryman property and such access road to be•a private way of necessity for said owners, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF. THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: 1. It is hereby found that said proposed exchange of properties is in the best interests of the City of Renton and of the public in general and that the acquisition of said property next to and adjoining the water reservoir area will further the City's aim in protecting the purity of said water supply. 2. The Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Renton are hereby authorized and directed to execute a proper quit claim deed unto said Charles R. Perryman and Elizabeth J.Perryman granting them a private way.of necessity over and unto the east 24 feet of the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 5, Township 22 North, Range 5 E.W.M.,,LESS the south 30 feet for county road purposes, but reserving unto the City the right to use said private way of necessity for ingress and egress at all reasonable times. 1956.
