WHEREAS, the City of Renton, a municipal Corporation
of the State of Washington, by and through its Planning Director and
other Municipal Officers, has heretofore prepared a certain "WORKABLE
PROGRAM", a copy of which is being attached hereto together with
Exhibits No. 1:. =to -13 , the pr inc ipal purpose of which is to make
the City of Renton eligible for certain loans and capital grants by
the Federal Government, including but not limiting it to the pro-
visions and benefits of Title ISlum Clearance and Urban :Renewal,
Housing Act of 1949, as amended, and to further provide eligibility
by the City of Renton for annual contributions by the Federal Gov-
ernment for low -rent housing, and to further make the City of Renton
eligible for certain mortgage insurance benefits provided for under
Sections 220 and 221 of the National Housing Act, and to generally
confer the benefits provided under the aforementioned legislative
Acts of the Federal Government, and said "WORKABLE PROGRAM" being
deemed in the public interest and for the benefit of the City of Renton,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The foregoing recitals and facts are hereby
found to be true in all respects; and the City of Renton hereby adopts
that certain "WORKABLE PROGRAM" together with all Exhibits attached thereto,
SECTION II: The Planning Director of the City of Renton
is hereby authorized and directed to forward said documents and all
other pertinent data unto the appropriate governmental agency or
agencies in order to process same at the earliest possible date so as
to provide eligibility under said Federal Acts for the City of Renton.
