RE SOLUTION 9
WHEREAS, Chapter 213, Laws of 1957, known as the Metropolitan
Municipal Corporation's Act, provides, among others, for the appointment of a
Metropolitan Sewer Advisory Committee, and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton, a Municipal Corporation of the Second
Class under the laws of Washington, is included as a component City within the
boundaries of the Metropolitan area and is desirous to have a person serve on
such Advisory Committee, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY:COUNCIL OF` THE CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Engineer of the City of Renton, to -wit, Mr. James Highton,
is hereby appointed to serve as the representative of the City of Renton on the
Metropolitan Sewer Advisory Committee, and said appointee shall serve at the
pleasure of the City Council of the City of Renton until further notice.
2. A certified copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded by the
City Clerk to the Chairman of the Metropolitan Council.
