RESOLUTION NO. 989
'VR EREAS, the Housing Authority of Renton has acquired and holds title to the
following described real estate situated in the City of Renton, County of King, State
of Washington, and is undertaking therein the development and construction of a low -
rent housing project under the Federal Housing Act as amended, to -wit:
3.i Block 35A and Tract 42 A in Block 42 of Renton Highlands No. 2
(corrected plat), according to P]mt thereof recorded in Volume
57 of Plats, Page 92, records of said King County;
WHEREAS, said plat dedicates streets and alleys in aforesaid real estate and
reserves to and for the City the following right, viz:
Right of the public to make necessary slopes or cuts or fills upon
said premises in the reasonable grading of streets, avenues, alleys
and roads, as dedicated in the plat; and
WHEREAS, a certain street, to -wit: H Street, and limited to that certain portion
of it extending from Sunset Boulevard East to its intersection with 10th Avenue North,
as platted has heretofore been established, graded and constructed and no additional
slopes, cuts or fills upon above described portion of said street being required, and
the Public Housing Authority for its said purposes requires clear title to the above
portion of said "H" Street free from the aforesaid reservation of right to make slopes
cuts or fills;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED - BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Renton shall execute and deliver a Quit -Claim Deed, Re-
linquishment and Release of aforesaid reserved right limited to that certain portion
of "H" Street ettending from Sunset Boulevard East to its intersection with 10th Avenue
North, as platted, to make slopes, cuts or fills thereon in the original grading of
said street, in consideration of the foregoing matters and mutual benefits and advant-
ages as valuable considerations; and the Mayor is hereby authorized to make and execute,
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest and execute and affix the seal of the
City of Renton to, appropriate instrument of Quit -Claim, Relinquishment and Release as
aforesaid, to or for the benefit of the Housing Authority of the City of Renton, a
municipal corporation.

QUIT CLAIM AND RELINQUISHMENT
WHEREAS, the following described real estate situated in the City of Renton,
County of King, State of Washington is acquired and held by THE HOUSING RTTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF RENTON for purposes of a low -rent housing project, to -wit:
Block 35 A and Tract 42 A in Block 42 of Renton Highlands No. 2
(Corrected plat), according to Plat thereof recorded in Volume 57
of Plats, Page 92, records of said King County;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE GRANTOR THE CITY OF RENTON, a municipal corporation and
city of the second class under the laws of the State of Washington, does hereby QUIT-
CLAIM, relinquish and release to the Housing Authority of the City of Renton, a muni-
cipal corporation, for valuable consideration and mutual benefits and advantages, the
following right reserved to and for Grantor City in aforesaid plat and dedicated therein,
but only in respect to and limited to that certain street known as H Street extending
from Sunset Boulevard East to its intersection with 10th Avenue North, as platted, to -wit:
The right of the public to make necessary slopes or cats or fills upon said
premises in the reasonable original grading of streets, avenues, alleys and
roads, as dedicated in the plat;
upon the further consideration that the original grading of said portion of the street
as above described has heretofore been accomplished and the grades thereof established
and no further slopes, cuts or fills for the same are required thereon.
