WHEREAS it has come to the attention of the City of Renton that an appli-
cation has been made by the Lake Shore Lines, Inc., of Renton, Washington, to the
State of Washington Public Service Commission requesting that certain bus service
through, at and near the Skyway area be eliminated or reduced, and
'WHEREAS the City believes that such curtailment or elimination of service
would be harmful and injurious to many of the residents in the City of Renton, espec-
ially those who reside in the Earlington area, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, AS
FOLLOWS z
SECTION I: The foregoing facts and recitals are hereby found to be true
and correct in all respects, The City of Renton believes that it would be injurious
and inconvenient to many of its residents, especially those living in the Earlington
and Rainier Avenue area if such bus service were reduced or eliminated. The City
of Renton hopes that every effort will be made by the bus company in question and
the State of Washington Public Service Commission to retain said service, if at
all possible.
