HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 1017RESOLUTION N0. 0 17 WHEREAS the City of Renton, a municipal corporation, has heretofore passed and approved under date of May 19, 1959 its Resolution No. 1002, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, relative to the acquisition and transfer of the assets and properties of King County Water District No. 62 (Earlington Water District), and WHEREAS the funds of said Water District are presently being held by the King County Treasurer's Office, said sums consisting of approximately $1391.97 in the "General Bond Redemption Fund" and the sum of approximately $3877.06 in the District's Maintenance Fund, and WHEREAS it appears that the sum of approximately $1970.00 is due to satisfy and pay off the remaining General Obligation Bonds, together with an allowance of $5.00 for outstanding warrants, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: 1. It is hereby found and determined that the above recitals are true and correct in all respects. The City of Renton hereby authorizes the Treasurer of King County to transfer the necessary monies and sums from the King County Water District No. 62 Maintenance and Operation Fund unto the District's General Obligation Bond Fund for the purpose of having sufficient sums to pay off said remaining bonded indebtedness; and the. King County Treasmr to likewise retain the sum of $5.00 or such additional sum as may be necessary to cover outstanding warrants of said Water District. 2. The County Treasurer is further authorized and directed to forward unto the City of Renton the remaining balance in the Maintenance Fund of said Water District, towit the approximate sum of $3294.03, which sum shall be used by the City of Renton toward the acquisition and placement of additional fire hydrants within the boundaries of said former Water District No. 62 as more particularly specified in Paragraph 3 of Resolution No. 1002.
