ORDINANCE N0, 1370
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, ESTABLISHING THE POSITION
OF COMPTROLLER, DEFINING DUTIES AND FIXING SALARY THEREOF,
FOR THE PERIOD ENDING MAY 31,, 1950.
BE IT OFyDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON:
SECTION 1: There is hereby established in the City of Renton, for
the period commencing January 11 1950 and ending Ma.y 31, 1950, the office
and position of Comptroller.
SECTION 2: The duties of the City Comptroller shall be to act
as administrative assistant to the Mayor; to assist the Mayor, Clerk and
Treasurer in the matters of City finance and administration; and
generally to perform. such other duties of the foregoing general nature as
may be required of him from time to time by the Mayor and City Council,
SECTION 3: The salary of the City Comptroller during the five.
months period aforesaid, ending May 31, 1950 shall be the sum of $50.00
per month; which shall be the maximum salary paid to the City Comptroller
during said period, out of any funds allocated for such position or office
in the present annual budget.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five
days from and after its passage, approval and publication.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Renton, this 10th day
of January 1950.
