HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1377041 d ORDINANCE NO. 1377 An Ordinance of the City of Renton, Washington establishing the policy as to Holidays, Vacation Periods and compensation of City Employees during such periods. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON: SECTION 1: It is hereby declared to be the policy of the City of Renton that the following holidays be established and recognized as legal holidays in each year for Employees of the City, without loss of pay: January ist (New Years Day) February 22nd (Washington's Birthday) Memorial Day July 4th (Independence Day) Labor Day Thanksgiving Day December 25th (Christmas Day) If any of said holidays falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be deemed the holiday. If working on any holiday, employ- ees shall be allowed a substitute day off work, or in the alter- native shall receive overtime pay for such holiday worked. SECTION 2: All City Employees, after having one year full consecutive employment by the City shall be entitled to one week vacation with pay in the following year; and after having two years or more full consecutive employment by the City shall be entitled to two weeks vacation with pay in succeeding years.
