HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1398r y< ORDINANCE NO* 1398 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFI= CATION OF CERTAIN TRACT IN THE CITY FROM RESIDENTIAL TO COMVMERCIAL USE DISTRICT.. WHEREAS under Ordinance No. 1164 and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith as amended, the tract hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as Residential Use District; and WHEREAS under the provisions of Section. XV of said Ordinance a proper petition for change of zone classification of said tract to Commercial Use District has been filed with the City Clerk of Renton, and the Planning Commission of said City having approved such change, and public hearing having been held thereon by the City Coun- cil pursuant to published Notice of Hearing, and no protests having been filed or made; Now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON: Section 1: The following described tract in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned and reclassified as a Commercial Use Dis- trict, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the City to show this change; said tract being described as: A portion of the NE of Section 17, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the monument at the intersection of Railroad Ave., and Bronson Way North, in the plat of the Car Works Addition to the City of Renton; thence N 7003314011 E, 408 feet, to a point on the easterly margin of the Sunset Highway, thence N 22044140" E, along the easterly margin of said highway.879.69 feet to the point of beginning; thence S. 6701.512011 E 300 feet; thence N 22044140" E 200 feet, thence N-670151 W 300 fe@t to the easterly margin of State Road #2, . thence S 2204414011 W 200 feet to the point of beginning. Section 2: This Ordinance shall be in full force and ef- fect five days from and after its passage, approval and publication. PASSED by the City Council thisest day of January, 1951.
