HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1438ORDT_ NANCE NO. 1438 AN ORDINANCE, OF T.IEE CITY OF RENTOIv CHANGING TIIE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN TRACT IN THE CITY FROM RESIDENTIAL TO INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT. 'VTHEREAS, in Ordinance No.116)4_ and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith as amended, the tract hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as residential district; and WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 15 of said Oridinance upon petition for change of zone claissification of said tract to industrial district has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Rent on, and the Planning Commission of said City having approved said change, and a public hearing having been held thereon, by the City Council pursuant to published notice of hearing as provided by law, and no protest having been filed or made, now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REIlTON: Section 1. The following described tract in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned and classified as industrial district, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of. the City to show this change; said tract bei ng described as follows: That portion of the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter of Sec. d, Twp. 23 N., Range 5 E.W.M. lying wester- ly of the State Road #2, easterly of the right-of-way of the Pacific Coast Railroad Company, and northerly of the northerly line of road deeded to King County by deed re- corded in Vol. 920 of Deeds page 4b5, under Auditor's file #103106b, records of said county, now known as Pierce Street in the City of Renton, except a portion conveyed to Puget Sound Power & Light Company right-of-way by deed recorded under Auditor is file #2500774, records of said county; Except that portion of said described tract lying north of a line drawn 100 feet south of and parallel with the northerly line of said described tract,in King County, Washington. Section 2. This ordinance st-iall be in full force and effect five days after its passage, approval and publication.
