HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1487ORDI NANCE NO. 1487 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, RELATING TO AND REGULATING CERTAIN INTOXICATING LIQUOR, PROHIBITING THE ACQUISITION AND POSSESS- ION THEREOF BY MINORS, PROVIDING PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE AND REPEALING ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: It is unlawful for any person under the age of 21 years to acquire in any manner, to consume or to have in his possession any intoxicating liquor as said term is defined by the Washington State Liquor Act; provided, however, that this section shall not apply in the event such liquor is given or administered to the minor by his parents or guardian for medicinal purposes or duly administered to said minor by a duly licensed physician or dentist for medicinal purposes. Section 2: Any person violating this Ordinance or any part thereof shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and .upon conviction thereof shall be punished byafine not exceeding $100.00 or by imprisonment not exceeding thirty (30) days or by both such fine and imprisonment. Section 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage, approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 13th day of July, 1954.
