ORDINANCE NO. 1513
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON.. WASHINGTON,
VACATING PORTION OF SOUTH 127th STREET, RENTON,
KING COUNTY, WASHI NGTON .
WHEREAS, a proper petition for vacating portion of South 127th
Street, between 87th Avenue South and 88th Avenue South, in the City
of Renton, King County, Washington, as hereinafter more particularly
described, was duly filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton
on December 29, 1954, signed by all of the owners of the property
abutting upon said portion of South 127th Street, sought to be vacated,
which petition was on that day received and read at the regular meeting
of the City Council, and MHEREAS the City Council, after due investiga-
tion, did fix the 5th day of April, 1955, as the date of public hearing
on said petition and directed the Clerk to give notice of said hearing
in the manner provided by law; and WHEREAS the City Clerk has duly caused
notice of such hearing to be published and to be posted for the time and- _
in the manner provided by law; and 'WHEREAS a public hearing was duly held
upon said petition - on = the day so fixed at a regular meeting of the City
Council and no protest or objection to the granting of said petition or
the vacating of said portion of South 127th Street having been made,
filed or received, and the City Council did at that time vote to grant
said petition for vacating, subject to certain reservations; and WHEREAS
the City Council finds that the vacating of the hereinafter described
portion of this street is proper and advantageous to all concerned and
will serve the public interest and will not cause injury or damage to
any properties or persons, but the granting of said petition is in the
public interest; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RENTON AS FOLL.OJS:

Section I: The following described portion of South 127th Street,

200 feet long, known and sgnated as

Addition, City of Renton, King County, State of
Washington;
RESERVING unto the City of Renton the following
described easement for all public purposes and uses, to -wit:
The north five feet of the south one-half and
the south five feet of the north one-half of
the sixty -foot street right-of-way known and
designated as South 127th Street, anal extending
from the east margin of 87th Avenue South to
the west margin of 88th Avenue South in Latimert s
Lake Washington Park Addition to the City of
Renton, King County, Washington.
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY vacated, subject to the reservation hereinabove
specified,
Section II: This ordinance shall be effective from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication as provided by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 12th day of April, 1955.
