HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1522ORDINANCE NO.1522 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENTIAL USE (R -S) DISTRICT TO BUSINESS USE (B-1) DISTRICT. .r� WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472 and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, as amended, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as Residential Use (R -S) District; and ,4HEREAS, under the provisions of Ordinance No. 1472 a proper petition for change of zone classification of said property to Business Use (B-1) District has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton, and the Planning Commission of said City having duly approved such change of classification, and a public hearing having been held thereon by the City Council on the 19th day of July, 1955, pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted, and no protests having been filed or made; N0d, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby re -zoned and re-classified as a Business Use (B-1) District, and the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to charge the maps of the zoning ordinance of the City to show this change; said property being described as follows: That portion of the northeast quarter of Section 17, Township 23 North, Range 5 East W.M, , in the City of Renton, described as follows: Beginning at a point North 8904511711a West 1896.90 feet and North 1011100" East 383.21 feet of the east quarter corner of said Section 17; thence North 1011100" East, parallel to the west line of Block 1 of Monterey Terrace and 50 feet therefrom, a distance of 323.32 feet to a point on the north line of Lot 10 of said Block 1, extended west; thence along said line extended South 88049100" East 10 feet; thence North 1011/0011 East parallel to said west line of Block 1, a distance of 287.61 feet; thence on a curve to the left with a radius of 360.00 feet through an angle of 14 degrees, a distance of 87.97 feet; thence North 12049100" west 183.90 feet to a point on the southerly margin of the Renton -Issaquah Road (now Bronson'Way North), thence along said southerly margin South 25018100" West 74.13 feet; thence South 810581oo1 gest 279.43 feet; thence South 7023129" East 242.74 feet; thence South 4805213211 Rest 268.92 feet to a point 30 feet measured at right angles from the center line of State Highway No. 5 (Maple Valley Highway); thence South 4100712911 East parallel to and 30 feet from said center line a distance of 641.06 feet; thence South 89045117t1 East 82.38 feet; thence North 1011180'1 East 130.99 feet to the point of beginning.
