AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON APPROVING AND
CONFIRI'IING THE ASSESS,:1ENT AND ASSESS VENT ROLL OF
LOCAL IMPROVaTE11T DISTRICT NO. 2423, FOR THE IM-
PROVEMIENT OF AN ALLEY IN BLOCK 14, RTS TON HIGHLANDS.
ALL IN THE CITY OF REI12' ON, PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE
NOs 1505, AND LEVYING AND ASSESSING THE AMOUNTS
THEREOF AGAINST THE SEVERAL LOTS, TRACTS, PARCELS
OF LAND AND OTHER PROPERTY AS SHOW ON SAID ASSESS -
DENT ROLL.
SECTION I: WHEREAS, the assessment roll levying special
assessments against properties located in Local Improvement District
No. 242 in Renton, King County, Washington, created under Ordinance
No. 1.505 of the City of Renton, has been filed with the City Clerk
of the City of Renton as provided by law, and
11HEREAS notice of the time and place of hearing thereon and
of making objections or protests to said roll ua-, duly published at
and for the time and in the manner provided by law, filling the time
and place of hearing thereon for the 17th day of April, 1956, at the
hour of 8 p.m., at the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the
City of Renton, and further notice thereof was duly mailed by the
City Clerk to each property owner shown on said roll; and
WHEREAS at the time and place fixed and designated in said
notice a hearing was duly held, and no protest or objections of any
kind being made to.said_assessment roll, either written or oral;
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENEON AS FOLLOIIS:
SECTION II: That the said assessments and assessment roll for
said Local Improvement District No. 242 for the improvement of that
certain alley in Block 14, Renton Highlands, Renton, King County,
Washington, to -wit, the grading, draining, stabilizing and seal -
coating of said alley with asphaltic road oil and crushed rock, and
incidental work thereto, be and the same is hereby in all things and
respects approved and confirmed.

SECTION III: That each of the lots, tracts, parcels of land
and other. property shown upon said roll is hereby determined and
declared to be specially benefited by said 'improvement in at least
the amount charged and assessed against same and said roll as herein-
above stated; and that the assessment so appearing against the same
is in proportion to the several assessments so appearing upon said
roll. There is hereby levied and assessed against each such lot,
tract, parcel of land and other property appearing upon said roll
the amount finally charged against the same thereon as detei-minede
i.n 's.aad_.assessment roll.
SECTION IV:
That the said assessment roll as it is now approved
and confirmed be filed with the City Treasurer of the City of Renton
for collection and that said City Treasurer be authorized and directed
to publish notice as required by law, stating that said roll is in
her hands for collection and that payment of the assessment thereon
shall be made at any time within thirty (30) days from the date of the
first publication of said notice without penalty, interest or cost,
said assessment being payable by the mode of cash payment.
SECTION V: This ordinance shall be in .full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and legal publication as
provided by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL THIS lst day of May, 1956.
APPROVED BY THE MAYOR this 1st day of May, 1956.
