AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DECLARING THAT.AN.EMERGENCY EXISTS AND APPROPRI ATING MONIES FROM CITY FUNDS FOR.THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR.PAYMENT OF THE NECESSARY EXPENSES AND CAPITAL OUTLAY NECESSITATED BY SUCH EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, since the adoption of the 1957 Annual Budget of the City of Renton it has become necessary to provide for the purchase of certain services and materials, and to meet other expenses, all of which were not forseeable at the time of the adoption of the 1957 budget, including the necessity of relocation and structural repairs of portions of the Renton Municipal Airport, necessitated by major defense indus- tries; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the proper administration, opera- tion and maintenance of the City, and especially the City's municipal airport, to appropriate funds as hereinafter set forth for the payment of such capital outlay; and WHEREAS, the sum of $25,000.00 has heretofore been paid into the City by the Boeing Airplane Company for the purposes above specified; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: That the foregoing recitals and facts are hereby found and determined to be true and existing, and by reason thereof the City Council does hereby declare that an emergency exists. SECTION II: That there be and hereby are allowed and establish- ed the following sums for expenditure in each of the following classi- fications established in said 1957 Budget, and said sums are appropria- ted for expenditure in the following classifications, same being in addition to the pro�risions of the said 1957 Annual Budget, to -wit: -1- o DEPARTMENT CAPITAL AND FUND OUTLAY_ TOTAL AIRPORT FUND $25,000.00 025,000.00 SECTION III This ordinance is an emergency ordinance which shall not be voted upon until one week shall have elapsed after its introduction, and a copy thereof shall be published as a proposed Ordinnnce, together with a notice of the time set for voting thereon. SECTION IV: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL thisl.gth day of March, 1957. Elton L.
