ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTIES -WITHIN THE.CITY OF RENTON_FROM.RESIDENCE
SINGLE.FAM ILY.DISTRICT (R-1) TO RESIDENCE DISTRICT
(R-2) AND FROM RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-2) TO_BUSINESS
DISTRICT_(B-1)
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps
adopted in conjunction therewith, the properties hereinbelow
described have heretofore been zoned as Residence Single Family
District (R-1) and Residence District (R-2) respectively; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Ordinance No. 1472, as
amended, proper petitions for change of zone classi-fication of
said properties have been filed with the City Clerk of the City
of Renton, and the Planning Commission of said City having duly
approved such change of classification after a public hearing
having been held thereon on March 13, 1957, pursuant to notice
of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law, and no
protests or objections having been filed or made; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE 1JAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described propertles in the City
of Renton are hereby rezoned and reclassified as hereinbelow
described; and the City Engineer.is hereby authorized and directed
to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton
to show and evidence these changes; said properties being described
as follows
From RESIDE14CE SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT (R-1) to
RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-2):
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 8,
Earlington addition; thence northeasterly along the
east line of said Lot 1 to the northeast corner of
said Lot 1, Block 8, the true point of beginning;
thence continuing northeasterly along the east line of
said Lot 1 produced a distance of 97.23 feet; thence
2.580-36,15" h. 119.73 feet; thence S-17'03115" W.
67.57 feet, -to the northeast corner of Lot 25,, -Block
8 said addition; thence N. 72°56145!7 W.,116 feet to
the true point of beginning. _
From RESIDENCE SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT (R-1) to
RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-2):
Lot 4, Town and Country Club Bungalow Sites,
Renton, . King County, Washington.
From RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-2) to BUSINESS DISTRICT 4B -l)
Lots 12 and 13, Block 1, Car Works Addition,
Renton, King County, Washington.
and said rezonings are subject to the provisions of Ordinance
No. 1472 as amended by Ordinance No. 1542.
SECTION II: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
