ANORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
VACATING A CERTAIN WALKWAY.IN LOT 6, BLOCK 26
OF SUBURBAN HEIGHTS ADDITION TO THE CITY_ OF
RENTON,`KING.COUNTY, WASHINGTON..
WHEREAS,.a proper petition for for vacating a certain walkway
or alley as hereinafter more particularly described, was duly filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on March 14, 1957, signed by
all of the owners of the property abutting upon said walkway sought to
be vacated, which petition was read at the regular meeting of the City
Council on March 19, 1957, and WHEREAS, the City Council after due in-
vestigation did fix the 16thday of April, 1957, as the date of public
hearing on said petition and directed the Clerk to give notice of said
hearing in the manner provided by law and the City having thus fixed
said hearing date by proper resolution; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk has
duly caused notice of such hearing to be published and to be posted for
the time and in the manner provided by law and the Planning Commission
of the City of Renton having duly approved such petition*; and WHEREAS
a public hearing was duly had upon said petition on the day so fixed
at a regular meeting of the City Council and no protest or objections
to the granting of said petition or the vacating of said walkway having
been made, filed or received, and the City Council did at that time
vote to grant said petition for vacating and the City Council finding
that the vacation of the hereinafter described walkway is proper and
advantageous to all concerned and will serve the public interest and
will not cause injury or damage to any properties or persons, but the

f granting of said petition being deemed in the public interest, and a

substitute walkway having been heretofore dedicated unto the City,
' NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described walkway or alley, to -wit:

The south 23.81 feet less the south 13.64 feet
of Lot 6, Block 26, Suburban Heights Addition to the
City of Renton as recorded in Volume 58, page 55,
records of King County, State of Washington,
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY VACATED.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication as provided by law.
