HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1608ORDINANCE NO. % � O AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM SUBURBAN RESIDENCE DISTRICT (S-1) TO RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-2). WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as Suburban Residence District (S-1); and WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of said property to Residence District (R-2) has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton, which petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission of the City of Renton, and a public hearing having been held thereon on April 10, 1957, at 8:00 P. M., in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, pursuant to notice of hearing duly pub- lished and posted as provided by law, and said Planning Commission having duly approved said change of classification of said property r i hereinafter described, and no protests or objections having been ; filed or made; NOW, THEREFORE, ' BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned as hereinbelow described; and the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinances of the City of Renton to show and evidence these changes; said property being described as follows: Block 2, Renton View Addition, Renton, King County, Washington, and said rezoning is subject to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1472, as amended by Ordinance No. 1542. -1- � � f 1 SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
