AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
APPROVING A CERTAIN PLAT AND CHANGING THE ZONING
CLASSIFICATION OF -CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE,
CITYOF RENTON FROM SUBURBAN RESIDENCE. DISTRICT
(S-1) TO RESIDENCE SINGLE FAMILY_DISTRICT (R-1)
WHEREAS, a petition for the approval of a certain plat for the
subdivision of a certain tract of land within the City Limits of the
City of Renton, as hereinafter more particularly described, was pre-
sented and filed with the City Council of the City of Renton, to-
gether with a petition for change of zone classification of the
hereinbelow described property from SUBURBAN RESIDENCE DISTRICT (S-1)
to RESIDENCE SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT (R-1), pursuant to Ordinance
No. 1472, as amended, which petitions'.. for platting and rezd=Lng
classification were then duly submitted to the Planning Commission
of the City of Renton, and a public hearing having been held thereon
on March 27, 1957, at 8:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City
of Renton, pursuant to Notice of Hearing duly published and posted
as provided by law, and said Planning Commission having duly approved
said plat known as Albert Balch's President Park No. 110 and said
Planning Commission having further duly approved at said hearing
said change of zone classification of said property hereinafter
described, and no protest or objections having been filed or made
at said hearing; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The petition heretofore submitted for approval
of a plat known as Albert Balch's President Park No. 11, as herein-
below described, is hereby granted and approved as such plat, subject
to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton.
SECTION II: The following described parcel of property,
known as Albert Balch's President Park No. 11 Plat, is hereby rezoned
from SUBURBAN RESIDENCE DISTRICT (S-1) to RESIDENCE SINGLE FM ILY
DISTRICT (R-1) and the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed
to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to

show and evidence these changes; said property being desdribed as
follows:
The South half of the Northwest quarter and the
North half of the ,So--.uthwest quarter, both of the
Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of
Section 9, Township 23 North, Range 5 E.W.M.,
also known as Albert Balchts President Park No. 11
and said rezoning is subject to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1472
as amended by Ordinance No. 1542.
SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
