It 3 ?,-- AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY EXISTS AND APPROPRI- ATING MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF NECESSARY EXPENSES AND CAPITAL OUTLAY NECESSITATED BY SUCH EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, since the adoption of the 1957 annual budget of the City of Renton, it has become necessary to provide for the purchase of certain services, materials, and structures, and to meet other expenses, all of which were not foreseeable at the time of the adoption of the 1957 budget, including the nec- essity of installing traffic control lights, widening and reg- ulating traffic on Logan Street to avoid further accidents and to protect the City from liability; AND WHEREAS it is necessary for the proper administration, operation and maintenance of the City and itO., departments to ` appropriate funds for and out of the several City funds as here- inafter set forth for the payment of such capital out -lay and expenses, NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: Section I: That the foregoing recitals and facts are hereby found and determined by the City Council to be true and existing, that and by reason thereof the Council does hereby declareran emergency exists. Section II: That there be and hereby are allowed and est- ablished the following sums for expenditure.. in each of the follow- ing classifications established in said 1957 budget and said sums are appropriated for expenditure in the following classification, same being vin addition :to the provisions of said 1957 annual budget, to -wit: page one DEPARTMENT and FUND CAPITAL OUTLAY TOTAL Street Department $30,000.00 $30,000.00 Engineering Department 12500.00 12500.00 (current expense fund) Total $313500.00 $31,500.00 Section III: This Ordinance is an emergency OrdinaneV which shall not be voted upon until one week shall have elapsed after its introduction, -.and a.- copy thereof shall be published as a proposed Ordinance, with a notice of the time set for voting thereon. Section IV: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
