ORDINANCE NO. /6 3 3
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM SUBURBAN RESIDENCE DISTRICT
(S-1) TO SUBURBAN RESIDENCE NO. 1 DISTRICT (SR -1)
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1172, as amended, and the maps
adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described
has heretofore been zoned as Suburban Residence District (S-1); and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned ordinance,
as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of said
property to Suburban Residence No. 1 District (SR -1) has been filed with
the City Clerk of the City of Renton, on or about July 10, 1957, which
petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission of the City
of Renton for investigation and study, and a public hearing having been
held thereon on August 28, 1957, in the Council Chambers of the City of
Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as
provided by law, and said Planning Commission having duly considered and
studied said Petition and having unanimously recommended to the City
Council to rezone said property as requested, and said rezoning being
deemed in the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND TIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the
City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Suburban Residence No, 1 District
(SR -1); and the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to
change the maps of the zoning ordinances of the City of, Renton to show
and evidence these changes; said property being described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Southeast
Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 4 Twp 23 North Range 5 E, W. M.;
thence continuing North along the East Margl of the
West one-half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 4
to an intersectiau with. the South margin oiff Primary
State Highway No. 2; thence in a Northwesterly
direction along the South margin of said Highway
No. 2 to an intersection with the West margin of the
East one-half of the Southwest Quarter. of the
Southeast Quarter of said Section 4; thence Southerly
to an intersection with the South margin of said.
Section k;' thence Easterly along the South margin
of said Section 4 to the point of.beginning.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
