AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM SUBURBAN RESIDENCE
DISTRICT (S-1) TO RESIDENCE SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT (R-1)
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps
adopted in.conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described
has heretofore been zoned as Suburban Residence District (S-1); and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned ordinance
as amended, a�proper petition for change of zone classification of said
property to Residence Single Family District (R-1) has been filed with
the City Clerk of the City of Renton, on or about July 18, 1957, which
petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission of the City
of Renton for investigation and study, and a public hearing having been
held thereon on September 11, 1957, in the Council Chambers of the City
of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted
as provided by law, and said Planning Commission having duly considered.
and studied said Petition and having unanimously recommended to the City
Council to rez.one said property as requested, and said rezoning being
deemed in the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON, AS SFO LLOWS :
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the
City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Residence Single Family District (R-1);'
and the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the
maps of the zoning ordinances of the City of Renton to show and evidence
these changes; said property being described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 6, Block 3,
Corrected Plat of Renton Highlands No. 2; thence
South along the East line of said corrected Plat of
Renton Highlands No. 2, 93.27 feet to the true point
of beginning; thence South along the said East line
of said Corrected Plat of Renton Highlands No. 2
285.42 feet; thence south 88038'40't East 110 feet;
thence North and parallel to the.said East line of
said corrected Plat of Renton Highlands No. 2 to a
line bearing North 43056158/1 West; thence Northwesterly

along the said line bearing North 43056158" WestX
to the said East line of said Corrected Plat of
Renton Highlands No. 2, being the true point of
beginning.
SECTION II;: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
