AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM SUBURBAN RESIDENCE
DISTRICT (S-1) TO BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1)
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps
adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described
has heretofore been zoned as Suburban Residence District (S-1); and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned ordinance,
as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of said
property to business district (B-1) has been filed with the City Clerk
of the City of Renton, on or about July 23, 1957, which petition was
then duly submitted to the Planning Commission of the City of Renton
for investigation and study, and a public hearing having been held
thereon on September 11, 1957, in the Council Chambers of the City of
Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as
provided by law, and said Planning Commission having duly considered
and studied said Petition and having recommended to the City Council
to rezone said property as requested, and said rezoning being deemed
in the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the
City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Business District
City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of
the zoning ordinances of the City of Renton to show and evidence these
changes; said property being described as follows:
That portion of the Northwest Quarter (4) of the South
west Quarter (4) of Section Eight (8), Township 23
North, Range 5,East,, W. M., described as follows;
beginning at the point 60 feet North of the Northeast
corner of Lot Thirteen (13) in Block Ten (10 ) of
Renton Farm Plat as per plat recorded in Volume 10 of
Plats, page 97, Records of King County; thence North

along the West line of Park Avenue produced 185 feet;
thence Wiest 107.5 feet; thence South 185 feet; thence
East 107.5 feet to the point of beginning; situate in
the City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and.legal publication.
