AN.ORDINANCE OF THE CITY.OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY.OF RENTON FROM PUBLIC
DISTRICT (P=1) TO HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (H-1)
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the
maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow
described has heretofore been zoned as PUBLIC DISTRICT (P-1); and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned
Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classi-
fication of said property to HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (H-1) has
been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton .on or about
September 12, 1957, which petition was then duly submitted to the
Planning Commission for investigation and study, and a public hear-
ing having been held thereon on October 23, 1957, in the Council
Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to Notice of Hearing
duly published and posted as provided by law, and said Planning
Commission having -duly considered and studied said Petition and
having recommended to the City Council to rezone said property as
requested, and said rezoning being in the public interest; NOW,,
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY.COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTON,, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property
in the .City of .Renton is hereby rezoned to HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DIS-
TRICT (H-1); and the City Engineer is hereby authorized and
directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinances of the City
of Renton to show and evidence these .-.changes; said property being
described as follows:
"That portion of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 7, Township 23 North,,Range 5 East,

W,.M., in King Couhty,,Washington, and of Government
Lot 1,.Section 18, Township 23 North,,Range 5 East W.M.,
lying easterly of.Commercial Waterway District No. 2
right-of-way and westerly of Logan -Street North Exten-
sion as deeded to the. State of Washington by deed
recorded under auditors file No. 3261297, more parti-
cularly described as follows:
Beginning at the south margin of Sixth Avenue North
(Yesler Street) and the west margin of Logan Street
North; thence along said west margin south 0015'1'30"
east 575 feet, more or less, to the point of curvature
of a curve to the right of radius 1710.08 feet; thence:
continuing along.said west margin and along said curve
to the right 420.34 feet; thence south 8901814511 west
831 feet, more -or les9, to the easterly margin of.Com-
mercial Waterway District No. 2; thence along said
easterly.margin north 130291 west 613 feet, more or
less, to a point on a line that is 400 feet south,
measured at right angles, and parallel to the south
margin of Sixth Avenue:North;,thence along said parallel
line north 89044130/1 east 572.54 feet; thence north.

Avenue North; thence along said south margin north 890
4413011 east 450 feet, more or less, to the Point _of
Beginning."
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and.after its passage, approval and legal publication.
