AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, ANNEXING:CERTAIN
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF RENTON
WHEREAS, under the provisions .of Chapter 128 of the 1945 Session Laws of the
State of Washington, a petition in writing requesting that certain territory contiguous
to the city limits of the City of Renton, as hereinafter more particularly described,
be annexed to the City, was presented and filed 'with the City Clerk of the City of
Renton on or about September 253, 1957, bearing the signatures of the owners of more
than seventy»five per cent (75'/0) in value according to the assessed valuation for
general taxation of the territory for which .annexation is petitioned herein, which
petition sets forth the legal description of the property -according to government
legal subdivision or plats, and was accompanied by a plat or drawing outlining the
boundaries of the territory petitioned to be annexed; and the Planning.Commissi.on
of the City of Renton having heretofore considered :and recommended the annexing of
said property to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the.City of Renton by resolution fixed Tuesday,
January 7, 1958, at 8:00 P. M., at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall in the
City of Renton, as the time and place for public hearing upon -said petition, and notice
thereof having been given as required by law, and.a public hearing having been held at
the time and place specified in aforesaid notice, and the granting of said 'petition
being deemed proper and advisable and in the public interest, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL -OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 128 of the 1945 Session
laws of the State of Washington, it is determined that the above mentioned petition
f.or,annexation to the City of Renton of the property and territory hereinbelow described,
be.and it is hereby approved and granted, and the following described property, being
contiguous to the city limits of the City of Renton situated in King County, State of 7
Washington, be and the same is hereby .annexed to the City of Renton, effective on and
after the passage, approval.and publication of this ordinance; and on and after said
date said territory shall constitute a part of the City of Renton and shall be subject
to all the laws and ordinances then thereafter enforced; said property being described

A. portion of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section
7»23.5 and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the South line of South 124th Street
produced :East to the East line of 87th Avenue South; thence South along
the East line of 87th Avenue South 3.34.87 feet to the true point of
beginning; thence West along a line which intersects the.East line of
84th Avenue South -at a point 321.08 feet South of the South line of
South 124th Street; thence South .along the.East, line of 84th Avenue South
331.08 feet; thence East 527.55 feet along a line, the Easterly terminus
being 662.16 feet North of the .South line of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 7»23»5; thence South and parallel to the East line of 84th Avenue
South to the South line of .the.Southwest Quarter of Section 7«23.5; thence .S

SECTION II: The above described .annexed property.contiguous to Precinct
No. a 3 of Ward No.: I of the City of Renton shall be and constitute a part of
Precinct No. a of Ward No. % of the City of Renton.
SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, -approval and legal publication as.provid'ed by law. A certified copy of
this Ordinance shall be filed with the Board of County Commissioners of King.County,
State of'Washington, and such other governmental agencies as provided by law.
