AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,, WASHINGTON, CHANGING
THE ZONING :CIASSIFICATION.OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE
CITYOFRENTON FROM SINGLE RESIDENCE DISTRICT'(R4-1) TO
BUSINESS.DISTRICT (B-1).
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps adopted in
conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described.has heretofore been
zoned as SINGLE RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R»1); and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned :Ordinance, as amended,
a proper petition for change of zone classification -of said property to BUSINESS
DISTRICT (B••1) has been filed -with the City Clerk of the -City of Renton, on or
about January 22, 1958, which petition was then duly submitted to the -Planning
Commission for investigationandstudy, and a public hearing having been held thereon
on February 26, 1958, in the Council Chambers .of the City of Renton, all pursuant to
notice of hearing duly published and posted.as provided by law, and.said'Planning
Commission having duly considered and studied said Petition, and having recommended
to the City Council to rezone said property as belcm stated, and said rezoning
being in the public interest; ., W, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE.CITY COUNCIL -OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
AS FOLLOWS":
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of
_Renton is hereby rezoned to BUSINESS DISTRICT (B+•1); and the City Engineer is hereby
authorized .and directed to -change the maps of the zoning ordinances of the City of
Renton .to show .and evidence these changes; said property being described as follows:
Lots.5,. 6, 7 and 8, Block 6, Renton Highlands, all located in
Renton, Ring County,.Washington.
Provided, however, that petitioner»owner of said property install
and maintain a rockery in lieu of a concrete retaining wall, along
the Southwest boundary of said lots adjoining residential properties;
and otherwise as per plot plan submitted by petitioneroowner.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage,.approval and legal publication.
