ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING
THE ZONING 'CLASSIFICATION'OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE
CITY OF RENTON FROM SUBURBAN RESIDENCE DISTRICT (S-1)
TO SINGLE RESIDENCE DISTRICT (RW1).
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No.'1472, as amended, and the maps adopted in
conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been
zoned as.SUBURBAN RESIDENCE DISTRICT (S»1); and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned -Ordinance, as amended,
a proper petition for change of zone classification of said property to SINGLE
RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R»1) has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton,
on or about January 22, 1958, which petition was then duly submitted to the Planning
Commission for investigation and study, and a public hearing having been held thereon
onFebruary26, 1958, in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton,. -Washington, all
pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted .as provided by law, and said
Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said Petition, and no protest
having been filed in opposition thereto, and the Planning Commission having recom.
mended to the City Council to rezone said property as requested, and said rezoning
being in the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE.IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
AS FOLLOWS':
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of Renton
is hereby rezoned to SINGLE RESIDENCE DISTRICT (RN1); and the City -Engineer is hereby
authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinances.of the City of
Renton to show and evidence these changes; said property being described as follows:
South half of north half of southwest quarter of southwest
quarter; and
South half -of southwest quarter .of southwest quarter; ALL in
Section 7, Township 23 North, Range 5-East,.W.M., in King
,County,:Washington,.EXCEPT the South 660 feet of west half of
south half of southwest quarter of southwest quarter of said
Section 7, and .EXCEPT county roads,- all situated in Renton,
King County,.Washington.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
